360° Laser Engraving

Do you know laser engraving? It is an innovant printing technology that consists in passing a laser on the material to create visible marks on the treated surface and thus personalise a product.   

Many materials can be engraved by laser engraving machine such as metals, plastic, stone, glass and even laser engraving for wood is possible...   

The most common process is the X-Y table where the part is immobile and the laser optics move in two dimensions (vertical and horizontal), directing the laser beam to draw vectors. All this system is monitoring by a laser engraving software.

This technique has some advantages over alternative engraving, such as no inks are used and there are no tool bits that meet the surface being engraved and wear out and need to be replaced regularly.   

The latest technologies go even further with 360° laser engraving which consists of rotating the product thank a lathe and then passing a laser that will create visible marks on the treated surface as with traditional laser engraving. This process is used for conical products such as bottles or thermos.
